The number of needles in a cartridge affects the width and style of an outline or line. The less the number of needles, the thinner and finer the line will be, whereas higher needle counts will result in thicker lines or very thick, old-school lines. Kwadron Round Liner 0.25 mm (#8) comes in variations from 3 up to 18 needles per cartridge, so that you can match the right cartridge to the tattoo you are doing and the desired end result or size. 

Kwadron Round Liner size 0.25 mm (#8), referred to by some as Bugpin, will find use when you need a slower flow of ink, for very precise and detailed work such as tattoos created in a realistic style or intricate work like mandalas and lettering. The 0.25 mm (#8) needles are arranged very tightly, resulting in a slower flow of ink through the cartridge. It is also an excellent choice for any work done using the DOT Work technique.
