Tattoo butters
(Products: 45)Tattoo butter is a rich cosmetic based on plant butters and oils, such as shea butter. Warmed by the skin, it softens and spreads in a thin layer. In this category you will find classic and scented butters, butter–vaseline hybrids and smaller packs for clients.

Butter during the session
A thin layer of butter provides glide, so the paper towel moves more easily over the skin when wiping away excess ink. Take the butter out with a spatula or a disposable scoop, not with a gloved finger, to keep the container clean. For the studio, choose sizes from 200 ml – with several sessions a day, a small jar runs out quickly.
Butter for aftercare
Manufacturers also intend some butters for caring for tattooed skin. You will find how and for how long to use them on the product page. It is worth recommending a smaller 50–100 ml pack to your client.
Butter, cream or vaseline?
Butter has a thicker consistency than cream. You will find lighter formulas in the Creams and tattoo care category, and vaselines in the Tattoo Vaselines category.
Tattoo butters at Kwadron
The core of the category is our own brands: InkTrox with Classic, Coco Mango, Pax and Solver butters, and Unistar with the Nebula and Flow lines. They are complemented by butters from other manufacturers, so you can match the scent, consistency and size to your way of working.
Tattoo butter FAQ
What size of butter should I choose for the studio?
With several sessions a day, packs from 200 ml are the most convenient. Smaller sizes work well as a spare at the workstation or for clients.
Is every butter suitable for aftercare?
No. Some butters are intended mainly for use during the session. You can check the intended use of a given product on its product page.
How does tattoo butter differ from vaseline?
Butter is made from plant butters and oils, while vaseline is a paraffin-based product. If you are looking for a product that combines both, choose a hybrid such as Unistar Flow or InkTrox Sencha Smoothie.
